1½ cups sugar
1 cup sour cream
½ cup butter, softened
1¾ cups ripe bananas, mashed
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
¾ tsp salt
½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 15×10″ pan.
In a large bowl, beat together sugar, sour cream, softened butter, and mashed bananas until creamy. Stir in vanilla extract.
Mix in flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined. If using walnuts, fold them into the batter.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden.
Prepare brown butter frosting by melting butter in a saucepan until golden brown; remove from heat and mix in powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
Spread warm frosting over brownies after they come out of the oven. Allow to cool before slicing.
